A review of "The Lucado Life Lessons Study Bible".

This is a beautiful Bible. The NKJV is easy to read and Max has given insight to scripture that inspires me to study deeper and I yearn to know God more intimately.

There is an introduction to each book so you know a bit more about the writer and get a peek into the book. Scripture is easy to find. Pages do not run together, each book begins on a new page, the print is a good size and the pages are laid out nicely.

I especially like the way Max gives us the situation, the observation, and the inspiration of the scripture on each page.

Book Review. Tunnel of Light. Answers to life found in death.

Wow. That word says it all. This book will hold your interest. I read it through in one evening. I especially liked the explanations at the end of each person's story that told what their belief of the afterlife was and the change they experienced after their NDE.

Hell is a real place, a place you do not want to go. Heaven is real, this is where you want to spend eternity. This book will open your eyes to an afterlife.

"Beneath The Night Tree", A Book Review.

"Beneath The Night Tree" by Nicole Baart is a story of love with characters that will warm your heart. The first pages were difficult to get through, there were just too many details but if you stick with it you will get involved with the people from Mason, Iowa and won't want to put the book down.
Julia is a single mother in love with whom she believes is the perfect man until her son's father suddenly is back in her life. This family goes through a journey that leaves you thanking God for what He is doing behind the scenes.

"A Rush of Wings". A Book Review.

Kristen Heitzmann did not disappoint. This is another intriguing and romantic novel. It has twists you don't see coming! I highly recommend this book if you like mystery and light romance all in one!

Heitzmann's ability to introduce you to the characters and her description of details makes you feel you are right there.

This book is full of the beautiful Psalms that will lift you up as you read. Psalms are a wonderful way to give praise to our Lord and this translation is powerful. It's easily readable, easily understandable.
This translation of the Psalms will give new life to your devotions, I recommend it as a way to start your morning or end your evening in your quiet time with the Lord or anytime in between.

The Grace of God - A Book Review

“Grace. It’s what I crave most when my guilt is exposed”. Sound familiar?

Andy Stanley’s newest book, “The Grace of God” is like a refresher course to those who have been walking with Christ for many years. It helps us to see and understand the grace of God all over again and in a deeper way.

New Christians as well will benefit from reading this book; you do not have to struggle to get God’s grace. Don’t beat yourself up over sin in your life, repent and receive this gracious gift from our Heavenly Father.

Andy brings an in-depth study of God’s grace in a way that is easily understood.
This book would be wonderful for small group study. See how the grace of God was given in the Ten Commandments, the story of Jonah, and all throughout the Bible. Every chapter brings examples of His grace flowing from His Heavenly Throne. Andy Stanley shows us this grace is available to us today.

He reminds us that it is our responsibility to “expose the world” to the grace of God. We can start in our own neighborhood.

I highly recommend this book. Read it and be reminded that His grace is enough.

I've lost interest in decos and unsubbed from my groups. The appeal just isn't there anymore. I've got other things to do that are fun such as my working in my art journals.

Today I shopped for scrubs and some regular clothes as well. I am such a jewelry fanatic and found a great sale. I bought a new purse, it's purple and has lots of bling. After shopping, we ate Chinese then I came home and took a nap. Getting up earlier in the mornings takes a while to get used too.

Til next time!

Computer died before I could get all the pictures of my journals backed up. It would've cost $100 for someone to get them off the hard drive so I said no.

Blah.... that's how I feel today. Having worked ten hours last night and coming down with a terrible sore throat overnight (strep) I want to start this week all over again in a different way.

It's gorgeous outside, lots of sunshine. I won't be going out to enjoy it and I won't be crafting today.
