For a child, every day is a thing of wonder. And for six-year-old Lily Lapp, every day is a new opportunity for blessings, laughter, family, and a touch of mischief. As she explores her world, goes to school, spends time with her family, and gets into a bit of trouble with her friends, Lily learns what it means to be Amish and what it means to grow up. From getting a new teacher to welcoming a new sibling, Lily's life is always full of adventure.
My thoughts...
This is the first of four novels about life with Lily. A charming little girl who gets into mischief and gives you lots of smiles and adventures while reading her story. We learn about her world, her days at school, and her family.
This puts me in mind of the Little House books, loved those when I was a kid. The Life with Lily books are recommended for kids ages 8-12 but I think kids closer to 7-8 will enjoy them most. 5 out of 5 stars.
I received an ecopy of this book free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
